Curiosity is what drives me, especially in making art. I'm forever asking myself "What if?" Exploring with new techniques and mediums is energizing to me. Capturing the effects of light on objects is something I have spent years working on and in the last three years have discovered plein air painting. I now spend my summers devoted to painting plein air.
As a teacher, my philosophy is that it is not about talent but rather time and effort spent, that creates an artist. For me, art and teaching are spiritual experiences. Over the years I have taught many people how to draw and paint and I have watched lives change in dramatic ways for the better; sensitivity, reasoning, perception, gratitude, and a sense of wonderment for life develop as the student grows.
